The importance of parables can hardly be overstated. They comprise a substantial part of the recorded preaching of Jesus.  The parables are generally regarded by scholars as among the sayings which we can confidently ascribe to the historical Jesus. They describe the ordinary circumstances and situation that people can understand easily, but their moral lessons teach us how to live as faithful Christians, as God intended. We will never tire of them as our students reveal again the hidden and not so hidden truths in eight of them.
