RUTH

The Ruth module will run on Monday evenings from the 21st June - 12th July 2021, 7:30pm - 9:30pm, online via Zoom so you can enjoy it from the comfort of your home. We will email you the zoom link and notes for the module when you register. It is free to register for the module but donations are welcome if you would like to partner with Arise Ministry.

The book of Ruth is a beautiful short story of charm and delight. The book tells us about very ordinary people facing very ordinary events.  We meet Naomi, who underwent hardship in famine and bereavement, but eventually found peace and security.  We meet Ruth, a young foreign woman from Moab who attached herself to her mother-in-law Naomi and to Naomi’s God.  We meet Boaz, who by marrying Ruth fitted into God’s purposes for history.  Both King David and Jesus are numbered among their descendants.

Arise Ministry would also like to say a big thank you to Julia Swaby who painted our artwork for the Ruth Module the painting depicts The Holy Spirit breaking through the dark skies, which symbolises Ruth leaving behind her own people and the trials which she endures. The landscape has gold over the top of it to represent the wheat fields. Ruth herself is the white on the left, a receptacle of the Holy Spirit. Her spirit hovers a black rock, denoting victory.
